About this work
This soundscape work looks to explore climate change by studying the sounds of the world around us. The piece is composed of four main segments, each concerned with a different issue: transport, conflict, wildfire, and the loss of habitats. The whole work is composed of real-world sound clips captured and collected from across the world and arranged together in order to create a complex sound-world. A recurring theme of the work is the sound of an indicator marking the points of change within the work as well as suggesting the need for a change in direction more broadly.
