Performance notes
Four loudspeakers should be arranged in quadraphonic format around the audience. The bass guitarist should be fully amplified and provided with their own mono signal feed through a quiet foldback or in-ear monitoring system. The main signal should be distributed so that each new note is heard through a new speaker, rotating clockwise around the quadraphonic pattern. A sound engineer should be present to ensure the correct distribution of the amplified guitar signal to the four speakers in-turn. This can be done through an automated series of signal gates or through manual intervention.
A delay of 1/16th note with ~80% feedback should be applied to the guitar signal and, distributed to the opposite (inverse X&Y (e.g. L DI with Rr delay)) speaker to the direct guitar signal and mixed ~10db quieter. Reverb can be added to taste if required ensuring a short delay and tail and with moderate early reflections.
